About the Author


Chris Conway joined the Toronto Police Service in 1976 at the age of 18 as a police cadet.  His duties at that time were doing traffic direction, issuing parking tickets, school crossings and doing minor police administrative jobs at 3 District Traffic located in North York Toronto.

Traffic Ticket TorontoUpon turning 21 (the age when a police officer is allowed to carry a gun) Chris was promoted to Police Constable and received training at the Ontario Police College in Aylmer Ontario.  Upon graduating from Police College Chris worked at 14 Division in the City of Toronto doing general Police duties.

In 1987 Chris transfered to the Toronto Police Central Traffic Unit (now called Traffic Services) where he did breathalyzer testing, radar, motorcycle patrol, highway patrol, accident investigations, and was a detective in the Hit and Run Squad.

In 1995 Chris transfered to 43 Division in Scarborough where he was a traffic officer doing Highway Traffic Act enforcement and accident investigation.  While at 43 Division Chris implemented and was in charge of the "Street Racing Program".

In 2000 Chris retired from the Toronto Police Service and joined the Ontario Provincial Police at the Toronto Detachment doing highway patrol.

In 2002 Chris retired from Police work.

During Chris's career as a Police officer he received 29 letters of commendation for excellent police work,  including numerous letters of appreciation from the public and people he had helped during his career, and the Governor Generals Award for Exemplary Police Service.

In 2002 after retiring from the police force Chris started working as a paralegal fight traffic tickets, and subsequently started the company OntarioTrafficTickets.  In 2008 Chris was accepted as member of the Law Society of Upper Canada as a licensed Paralegal.

In 2008 the name Ontario Traffic Tickets was changed to OTT Legal Services as a result of government regulations.

OTT Legal has now grown to be one of Ontario's largest legal offices with 8 locations through Ontario.
